Chhatrapati Shivaji paved way for women’s progress: Health min
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane while paying tributes to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the Valpoi municipal garden.

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Thursday said the policies and values of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ensured the respect and opportunities for women, which ultimately opened the path for their development in modern times.

He was speaking at the Shiv Jayanti celebration organised by the Shiv Jayanti Utsav Committee in Valpoi.

The programme began with dignitaries paying floral tributes to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the municipal garden.

Rane assured that new development projects would be undertaken to give Valpoi a distinct identity.

Highlighting the historical importance of Sattari, he appealed to people of all communities to work together for the city’s progress.

Prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions as part of the celebrations, and cultural performances were staged on the occasion.
