OLD GOA: The Chimbel Panchayat has convened a special Gram Sabha on March 20, at 9.45 am to discuss and approve the budget for the year 2016-17. All voters of Chimbel are requested to attend the Gram Sabha, states a press release issued by Sarpanch Manisha Chopdekar.

PONDA: Kapil Naik was on Wednesday elected unopposed as sarpanch of Mollem Panchayat. The post had fallen vacant since February 15, after former sarpanch Babu Zore resigned from the post. A meeting to elect new sarpanch took place in the presence of returning officer from Block Development Office Ajeet Jog and Panchayat Secretary Amol Tendulkar.All the seven panchas were present for the special meeting to elect the sarpanch.
