The Chimbel Sub Health Centre (SHC) has been moved out of Chimbel yet again as classes of standard 10 have started in the Kirlawada school from where the SHC was functioning temporarily since June.
A notice posted outside the school premises states that the Chimbel SHC has been shifted to BSNL Quarters, Bambolim where the Chimbel Primary Health Centre is located.
It may be recalled that this is the second instance when the SHC has been moved out of Chimbel.
First, the SHC was moved to Bambolim, in June, from the dilapidated Provedoria building from where it was functioning as attempts to shift the SHC in a rented premises were opposed by Goulebhat locals over Covid fears.
However, as Covid cases started rising in Chimbel, the SHC was temporarily set up at Kirlawada school. But with the standard 10 classes resuming at the school, the SHC had to be shifted.
Meanwhile, a reliable source informed that authorities concerned are trying to set up the SHC at the Provedoria building premise.
“An inspection of the premise is slated on Monday morning with PWD engineers, Chimbel PHC medical officer, panchayat authorities and others expected to remain present,” the source added.
