First Prize winning Tiatr 'Chowkidar' staged by Machi Mogi Morjim Cultural Sanskrutic Saunstha, Morjim.

The results of the 46th Tiatr Competition ‘A’ Group organized by Kala Academy from 10th March to 25th March 2021 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao have been declared and accordingly Tiatr “chowkidar” staged by Machi Mogi Morjim Cultural Sanskrutic Saunstha, Morjim has been selected for first prize of Rs1,00,000/-. Tiatr “Vatt” staged by Novim Pavlam-Novo Uzvadd Dramatic Troupe, Shiroda and Tiatr “Jivitachi Vatt”. staged by Kala Mogi, Candolim have won second prize of Rs 75,000/- and third Prize of Rs 50,000/-respectively. The Consolation prize of Rs 25,000/- has been awarded to Tiatr “Good News” staged by Aamar P. Sawanth Fan Club, Varca.
The first prize for best acting in male category was bagged by Willy Silveira for the role of Sandy in the Tiatr “Good News” whereas the second prize was awarded to Rupesh Jogle for the role of Coach in the Tiatr “Goal”. The merit certificates of acting (male) have been awarded to Pradeep Sinai Khandeparkar - Rumaldo (Vatt), Sammy Fernandes - Elvis (Kolakar), Tyron Carlos Souza – Tyron (Vatt).
The first prize for best acting in female category was awarded to Melenie Russhel Gama for the role of Melin in the Tiatr “Vatt” whereas the second prize in acting was bagged by Josephine Valandares e Dsouza for the role of Voijinn mai in the Tiatr “Voijinn Mai”. The merit certificates of acting (Female) have been bagged by Scully Dsouza – Ann (“Good News”), Irene Cardozo - Carmin (“ Jivitachi Vatt”), Natty Fernandes - Maim (“Chowkidar”).
The prize in Best Negative Role has been awarded to Ofelia D’Souza for the role of Montri Mendonsa in Tiatr “Chowkidar” and the second prize was bagged by Shivanand Naik for the role of Adv. Rony in the Tiatr “Jivitachi Vatt”. The merit certificates for negative role have been bagged by Annaldo Atanosio Fernandes – Arnald (Vatt), Anthony Carvalho – Fortes (Jivitachi Vatt).
The Best Comedian- ‘Male’ prize was bagged by Christopher Menezes for the role of Pepton in Tiatr “Jivitachi Vatt”. The merit certificates were awarded to Mathew De Souza - Motes (Oxem Kiteak?), Preet Pawar– Yappa (Voijinn Mai).
The Best Comedian- ‘Female’ prize declared to Sanjavi Kerkar for the role of Rosmary in Tiatr “Kolakar”. The merit certificate has been awarded to Aveena Pereira – Maggie (Chowkidar), Liviya Mable Alfonso – Lily (Xabaski Tuka), Pedrina D’mello – Lorecin (Voijinn Mai).
The Best Child Artist Prize in male category was bagged by Daniel Gomes for the role of Daniel in the Tiatr “Oxem Kiteak?” The merit certificate has been awarded to Anthony D’Souza – Baba (Voijinn Mai).
The Best Child Artist Prize in female category was awarded to Evril Albuquerque for the role of Evril for the tiatr “Oxem Kiteak?” The merit certificate has been awarded to Ruzane Colaco – Anne (Vatt).
The first prize for best direction was awarded to Sanket Narendra Bhandari for tiatr “Vatt”. The second and third prize has been bagged by Sandeep Kalangutkar for tiatr “Good News” and John Alexandro Fernandes for tiatr “Chowkidar” respectively.
The best stage set up award was bagged by Aamar P. Sawant for tiatr “Good News”. The merit certificate for stage set up was awarded to Nileema Desai for tiatr “Vatt”.
The best light effect award was secured by Vaibhav Naik for tiatr “Vatt” and the merit certificate was given to Gokuldas Borkar for tiatr “Goal”.
The best music band award was bagged by Selwyn Braganza, Theodore Alvares, John Fernandes, James Vaz, Bernard Antonio Fernandes for tiatr “Bhivpachi Goroz Nam”. Merit certificates awarded to Nolvert Cota, Senon D’Souza, Semy Braganza, James Vaz, Frannoy Gomes, Xavier Fernandes for tiatr “Jivitachi Vatt”.
The prize for best make-up award declared to Meena Goes for tiatr “Good News”. The merit certificates was bagged by Anjela Fernandes for tiatr “Kolakar”.
The best costume award has been awarded to Candida de Souza for tiatr “Bhivpachi Goroz Nam”. The merit certificates was bagged by Francis Dias for tiatr “Kolakar”
The best background music award declared to Sai Kalangutkar for tiatr “Vatt”. The merit certificate was bagged by Joel Almeida for “Bhivpachi Goroz Nam”.
The first and the second prize for best singer male (solo) award was awarded to Peter Fernandes (Chowkidar) for tiatr “Chowkidar” and Klaver Taveira (Muzgaponn) for tiatr “Bhivpachi Goroz Nam” respectively. The merit certificates was bagged by Joaquim Pereira for tiatr (Amcho Vaur Dondho) for Tiatr “Xabaski Tuka” and Marcos Faria (Konn To) for tiatr “Vatt”, Evaristo Rodrigues (Patkacho Gulam Zalam) for tiatr “Chowkidar”
The first and the second prize for best singer female (solo) was bagged by Franzy Furtado (Goa Sobit Tum) for tiatr “Xabaski Tuka” and Scully D’Souza (Tiatrist) for tiatr “Good News”. The merit certificates was bagged by Elaine Pinto (Xristi) for tiatr “Oxem Kiteak?”, Kimberley G. Fernandes (Zhuz Nitikatir) for tiatr “Goal” and Shenaya Pereira (Rape) for tiatr “ Kolakar”.
The best prize for comedy solo singing male was awarded to Peter Camilo- Adleo Riti for tiatr “ Voijinn Mai” and merit certificate was bagged by Mathew D’souza (Torne Zatolem Porne) for tiatr “Oxem Kiteak?”.
The Best Prize for comedy Solo singing Female was awarded to Clarissa Camelo – Marijakin for “Oxem Kiteak?”.
The best prize for child singer male(solo) has been awarded to Wences Eusebio Rodrigues (Hanv Star Zatolom) for tiatr “Vatt”. Merit certificate was bagged by Jonas Fernandes (Online Sounsar) “Chowkidar”.
The best prize for child singer female (solo) declared to Naira Livia Fernandes (Bilu Bilu) for tiatr “Xabaski Tuka”. Merit certificate was bagged by Melita Y. Fernandes (Patang) for tiatr “Chowkidar” and Aloysia Gomes (Mojich Khobor) for tiatr “Good News”
The Best Choral Cantar Singing award has been bagged by Volet D’Souza, Lynne Fernandes, Jennifer D’souza for tiatr “Jivitachi Vatt”. The merit certificates was awarded to Voller D’costa and Kimberly Gresha Fernandes (Dukant Sangat) for tiatr “Goal” & Klaver Taveira and Natsalene Estrocio (Rajan Xinvtem) for tiatr “Bhivpachi Goroz Nam”.
The best Duo award was awarded to Candida D’Souza & Shayna Britto (Novi Dixea) for tiatr “Bhivpachi Goroz Nam”. The merit certificates was bagged by Peter Fernandes & Jonas Fernandes (Lockdown Special) for tiatr “Chowkidar”, Bolmax Pereira and Jeffrey Viegas (Pandu Juao) for tiatr “Oxem Kiteak?”, Fr Milagres and Veryl Fernandes (Jivit Moronn) for tiatr “Xabaski Tuka”.
The best trio award was bagged by Custodio Cabral, Dr Stacy Fernandes and Klaver Taveira (Vodli Gireskai) for tiatr “Bhivpachi Goroz Nam”. The merit certificates was awarded to Sherley Camilo, Ramson Cardozo, Coralee Mendes (Aboleancho Jhelo) for tiatr “ Voijinn Mai”, Peter Fernandes , Evaristo Rodrigues, Anneli Pereira (Putachi Khoxi) for tiatr “Chowkidar”.
The best Quartet award was awarded to Felicity Pereira, Joslyn Coelho, Ramson Cardozo, Peter Camilo (Kazarachem Link) for tiatr “Voijinn Mai” The merit certificates was awarded to Bolmax Pereira, Jeffrey Viegas, Deepty Coutinho, Suzeta Pereira (Dev Dita Deuchar Nadta) for tiatr “Oxem Kiteak” and Custodio Cabral, Keshavina Cardozo, Granville Monteiro, Chelsea (Online Classes) for tiatr “Bhivpachi Goroz Nam”.
The best lyrics award was bagged by Peter Fernandes for lyrics of Cantar “Chowkidar” in the tiatr “Chowkidar”. The merit certificate was awarded to Tomazinho Cardozo (Jivitachi Vatt) for tiatr “Jivitachi Vatt”, Bolmax Pereira (Pandu/Joao) for tiatr “Oxem Kiteak?”, John Alexandra Fernandes (Patang) for tiatr “Chowkidar” and Peter Camilo (Kazarachem Link) for tiatr “Voijinn mai”.
The first prize for the best script has been declared to John Alexandro Fernandes for tiatr “Chowkidar” staged by Machi Mogi Morjim Cultural Sanskrutic Saunstha, Morjim. The second prize for script declared to Fr Joseph Claro Rodrigues for tiatr “Vatt” staged by Novim Pavlam-Novo Uzvadd Dramatic Troupe, Shiroda.
Total 10 institutions participated in the competition. The judges who judged the performances in competition were Joe Adrian Rodrigues, Domingos Coelho and Lourensso Travasso alias Lawry Travasso. The lyrics and script were judged by Fausto V Da Costa.
Kala Academy has congratulated all the prize winners. The prize distribution of this competition will be declared at later stage.
