The Super Star Circus, which was red-flagged by the residents of Fatorda and MLA Vijai Sardesai, from coming up near the KTC bus stand, will now be staged near the SAG sports complex, Fatorda.
Addressing the media, the circus owner Prakash Mahadev Mane informed that the management has decided to shift the circus from the KTC bus stand to the land acquired for the Hockey federation near the SAG swimming complex.
Mane said the management has decided to shift the circus to the new site given the objections raised. “We have suffered a loss of around Rs 15-20 lakh since the venue is to be shifted to the new place. But, we have decided not to hurt the sentiments of the people who have objected to the site near the KTC bus stand,” he added.
The Fatorda MLA and the residents had objected to the circus coming up behind the KTC bus stand on grounds that the activity would result in parking issues and traffic congestion on the narrow road leading to the residential area.
