A group of citizens on Saturday night protested at the INOX theatre, Margao alleging that an attempt was being made to portray that the movie The Kashmir Files has evoked lukewarm response.
BJP leader Damu Naik on Sunday said the issue has been resolved with the management of the theatre agreeing to increase the number of shows.
The group led by Bajrang leader Jayesh Naik questioned the in-charge of the theatre why no posters of The Kashmir Files were released. He also demanded to know why around 40 per cent seats in the auditorium were found empty when the app showed that all seats were being booked.
Suspecting foul play, that the film has not been given adequate publicity to ensure that people do not come to watch the movie, the group further demanded increase in the shows screened in the theatre.
Meanwhile, BJP leader Damu Naik in his face book message stated that the issue has been resolved and the number of shows increased. He said strict instructions have been given to the theatre not to repeat the mistake.
He further said that he will take appropriate forum to make it tax free.
