From civic concerns to welfare-related queries, citizens raised issues concerning electricity and water supply, roads, land partition and other pending matters at the ‘Sarkar Tumchya Dari’ initiative in Ravindra Bhavan, Curchorem, on Friday.

During the programme, appointment orders under DSSS were handed over to five beneficiaries, while Vishwesh Desai was felicitated by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for his public-spirited work in cleaning the Zuari River by removing aquatic vegetation.

Sawant interacted with citizens from Curchorem constituency in the presence of Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral and Additional Collector Ramesh Gaonkar, as he addressed public grievances, expedited pending matters and ensured better access to Government services.

The chief minister directed the administration to adopt a positive approach and take necessary action to resolve these concerns. He also instructed officials to guide citizens on the ‘Mhaje Ghar’ scheme, clarify the application process and address their queries. Matters relating to the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department were also taken up for resolution.

Emphasising accountability in public service, Sawant instructed officials to reflect on their responsibilities when citizens have to attend public grievance programmes in large numbers to get their concerns addressed.

He called upon them to remain conscious of their role as public servants, understand citizens’ problems with sensitivity and act promptly to resolve them. He stressed that many issues could be addressed through a positive and responsive administrative approach.

Focused directions were also issued on specific pending cases, including complaints concerning EHN numbers issued before February 24, 2025, and matters related to the allotment of IIL numbers. The chief minister instructed authorities to take the necessary action in these cases.
