The State government’s River Navigation Department has arranged to press adequate number of ferries into service on the Agacaim-Cortalim bridge to compensate for the closure to traffic on Sunday the Zuari bridge for three hours from 6 am to 9 am.
The closure of the bridge is necessitated by the technical requirement of recording the bridge’s deck levels. Traffic heading south will also be diverted via the Borim bridge.
Four ferry boats will service the additional rush. However, four and three-wheelers/other light vehicles or heavy vehicles will be not be permitted in the ferries.
