On the occasion of his birthday, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant launched ArogyaExpress.com, a one-stop digital health platform offering tele-consultations, expert medicine delivery, and home-based healthcare services such as nursing, physiotherapy, yoga, and paramedical care.
The launch took place during the “Health with Ayurveda” programme, where the Chief Minister urged citizens to make full use of the new portal. He announced that tele-consultations through the platform would be provided free of cost, while home delivery of medicines would be chargeable.
“Many initiatives will be taken under Ayurveda in the coming days. We will also upgrade the single-window clearance system for registration of clinical establishments and doctors, which will benefit not only doctors but the public as well,” CM Sawant said.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane announced the rollout of sustained Ayurveda camps across the state from today, aimed at improving healthcare access. “PHCs and CHCs will offer homeopathy, allopathy and physiotherapy, with integrated speciality services planned at every hospital,” Rane said.
He also extended birthday wishes to the Chief Minister and prayed for his good health. Praising CM Sawant’s leadership, Rane said the government has meticulously planned an education complex that will house various medical institutes including nursing and physiotherapy colleges.
“This will help students gain better access to learning opportunities. Not only that, but assured employment opportunities will also be provided by the government,” Rane added.
