Gopalkrishna Subray Kamat of Naval Armament Depot, Chicalim was conferred prestigious 'Raksha Mantri' award in Delhi during “Year of Naval Civilians” commemorative function at the hands of Minister of state (MoS) Defence Sanjay Seth.
Kamat, who is a resident of Baina, Vasco, was conferred with the award on 23rd April 2026 wherein he was recognised for dedication, punctuality, reliability and strong work ethic.
"He consistently demonstrates exceptional courtesy, a strong work ethic, and unwavering dedication to his responsibilities. His punctuality and reliability are commendable. He remains humble & grounded, fostering a warm and friendly rapport with his family, friends and Colleagues,” praised Minister
When asked about his success, Kamat dedicated the success to family, friends and senior officers General Manager Bhupendra Sharma (INAS), Naval Armament Depot, Goa for his support, guidance and also for the opportunity they have given him to learn and grow.
