CM reviews Smart City projects, says works to be completed soon

PANAJI
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Panaji Legislator Atanasio Monserrate on Thursday held a review meeting with Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL) and tried to take forward the pending projects under the smart city mission.

Monserrate was furious at the approach of the officials while taking a review of the ongoing development projects in the state capital.

"We want our work to be done. We had a review of all the projects including the Ribandar area, underground cabling and Miramar projects," said Monserrate.

CM said that this was the first meeting of IPSCDL he has personally attended as previously only the Chief Secretary used to chair the meet.

CM said that all pending works will be completed soon.

IPSCDL is expected to complete the third phase of the municipal market, the development of Ribander with a sewerage network and football ground.

Panaji Mayor Uday Madkaikar who also attended the meeting said that MLA Monserrate is personally following up the smart city projects as he seriously wants the works completed for the people.
