A day after his deputy and TCP Minister, Francis D’Souza said that the government will go ahead with the RP-21 after corrections, Chief Minister, Laxmikant Parsekar on Friday asserted that the government will not impose the Plan on the people if they don’t want the same.
The chief minister made the remark during an informal chat with the media at the SAG sports complex, Fatorda when he was asked to react to the comments made by D’Souza that the RP-21 will not denotified, but adopted after correction.
Asked whether there’s any chance of scrapping the Plan against the backdrop of D’Souza’s comments, the Chief Minister shot back “why chance, there can be a possibility too. If the people don’t want, why should it be imposed on the people. If the people of Goa want it, let us accept the plan or do otherwise”.
He, however, said that the deputy Chief Minister must have reacted in view of the objections raised by the people to the plan.
