Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is slated to present the State budget for the 2019-20 fiscal on Wednesday.
Parrikar, according to legislature department sources will read out a ‘brief’ budget speech and also move a money bill for over Rs 1200-crore ‘vote-on-account’ to cover bare government spending between April and September this year.
The Opposition Congress, however, has censured the government for going ahead with a truncated budget session for the second year in a row depriving scrutiny of the State’s finances and also the government’s future plans.
