Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday called upon every Goan to remain alert and to take precautions against Covid-19 during the upcoming festive season.

In a video message, CM Sawant stated, “Even if the number of new cases in Goa has decreased, we must continue to remain alert. The festive and wedding season is upon us. We must maintain social distancing, use a mask and sanitize our hands at regular intervals.”

He stressed that Covid-19 isn’t over and pointed out that neither the vaccine nor a reliable line of treatment is yet in sight.

“If you have opted for home isolation, it is important that you stay isolated at home for 17 days. In this manner, you will keep your family and others safe. If any hospital or health centres refuse to collect your swab for Covid testing, you can call on 104 or contact our State Epidemiologist Dr Utkarsh Betodkar on 9011025052,” the CM informed.
