The government on Friday announced that the Health department has now initiated a monitoring programme for post-Covid patients.
“The post-Covid treatment has been started in South Goa District Hospital, Margao. Post-Covid complications are also going to be digitised and monitored under Dr Durga Lawande and under the supervision of GMC Dean, Dr SM Bandekar. Health Director Dr Jose D’Sa and Health Secretary Amit Satija,” the Health minister stated.
The Health Department observed that a lot of Covid-19 patients return with post-Covid complications. People experiencing any issues after completion of the period of isolation are now being monitored closely so as to avoid further complications. Several of them suffer from fibrosis after recovering and AYUSH protocol along with some steroids are being used to manage such patients.
