The Directorate of Education has declared the CM Vashistha Guru Puraskar 2024-25 for ten meritorious teachers who have done exemplary work in the field of education.
Government Primary Teachers Chhaya Bokade of Shree Vithal Rakhumaee School, Sankhalim, and Kamalakar Desai from Government Primary School, Gauthan, Dharbandora, will be awarded in the primary category for North and South Goa, respectively.
In the secondary section, Special Educator from Keshav Seva Sadhana Narayan Zantye School, Manjiri Jog, and Special Teacher from Viscount of Pernem High School, Rajmohan Shetye, from North Goa, along with Drawing Teacher Kalidas Satardekar from PM Shri Camilo Pereira Memorial School and Graduate Teacher from Smt Anandibai Mahanandu Naik High School in South Goa, will be awarded.
In headmaster category, Gurudas Palkar, headmaster of Dnyanprassarak Vidyalaya School in North Goa, and Aurora D’Souza, headmistress of Rosary High School, are selected for the prestigious award, which will be conferred during a ceremony at Kala Academy on September 5.
Under the higher secondary level, Clintia Maria Borges e Abranches, principal of VVM’s RMS Higher Secondary School, and Sunil Shet, teacher of Deepvihar Higher Secondary School, will be awarded.
