
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited the Indian Coast Guard District Headquarters in the State.
During the visit, he was briefed on the Coast Guard’s role in maritime security and search and rescue operations, outlining its efforts in safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests along the coastline. Officials also shared details on operational preparedness and response mechanisms in handling emergencies at sea.
Interacting with officers and personnel, the chief minister appreciated the coordination between the Coast Guard and state authorities. He noted that such cooperation strengthens coastal vigilance and ensures timely response during critical situations.
He commended the dedication and professionalism of the force in carrying out its duties. He also assured the state government’s continued support towards capacity building and strengthening of the service.
