Chief Minister Pramod Sawant welcomed several people from various parts of Sankhali constituency who joined the BJP on Thursday.
Among those who joined the BJP included former Congress youth president Abhijit Bhamaikar, former Congress Mahila Morcha member Pratima Kanekar, former sarpanch Dinesh Gurav, Satu Mainkar, Amaresh Mavalingkar, Narayan Sawant, Anjali Halarnakar and their supporters.
They were welcomed into the BJP at the party office in Sankhali.
Speaking on the occasion, Sawant said the BJP is a party that participates in the well-being of the common people. He appealed to the new members to work together for the betterment of the State.
Sankhali Municipal Council Chairperson Yashwant Madkar, Gopal Surla Kar, Subhash Malik, Santosh Malik and Kalidas Gavas were among those present at the event.
