CME on urology held at IMA Tiswadi PANAJI: IMA Tiswadi conducted its first meeting of 2016 at Hotel Mandovi. The new committee headed by Dr V N Jindal, Dr Amol Mahaldar & Dr Nicasia Furtado was installed in a ceremony chaired by Dr Padmanabh Rataboli, president- IMA Goa State.
Following the installation, the CME was conducted by Dr Madhav Sanzgiri - consultant urologist at Manipal Hospitals Goa.
Interesting cases in urology were discussed and he described all the newer urological methods of treating these cases. Dr Sanzgiri said, “Manipal Hospital has now installed the latest Dornier lithotripsy unit for painless non-operative treatment of kidney stones. It also has the latest flexible endoscopes with holmium laser unit and miniature precutaneous surgical technology for treating difficult and large stones with minimally invasive surgery. The latest Olympus Esg 400 plasma kinetic device is now being used for safe treatment of prostatic enlargement. The department has successfully conducted 40 procedures already," he said.
The CME was attended by 90 doctors from the Tiswadi area.
