Congress has complained that Parrikar’s frequent absenteeism was affecting the health of the State and renewed its plea to the Governor to ensure a “full time” chief minister.
GPCC President Girish Chodankar said, “The constitutional machinery has failed. There is no semblance of collective responsibility of ministers. The BJP should focus on the health of Parrikar by relieving him from post of CM.”
The administration in Goa is in ICU in view of absence of the CM and two of his senior colleagues on serious medical grounds for several months, he said. “This has been happening since February. It is high time the CM hands over the charge to some other person,” he said, adding that Parrikar’s insistence on sticking to his chair is jeopardizing not only his own health but also impacting the administration and health of the State.
