A Coastal police constable, identified as Sanjay Talkar -- accused of demanding a bribe from a paragliding businessman, has been suspended from services.
The order was issued by the Superintendent of Coastal Police, after the Anti Corruption Branch confirmed the charges against him.
Last month, Prithvi HN, a professional paraglider, had lodged a complaint against the cop stationed at Terekhol Coastal Police Station alleging he demanded a bribe to permit the operations.
The inquiry confirmed his offense after which the constable applied for anticipatory bail, which will be heard in Panaji Court in April 8.
