Liquor worth Rs 70K seized from Mandrem restaurant

The Pernem excise team has seized liquor bottles worth Rs 70,931 after raiding a restaurant in Junaswada-Mandrem.

According to Pernem Excise Office inspector Jayesh Bandekar, an excise team raided the restaurant on Friday after receiving information that liquor was illegally being sold in the seaside area.

About 175 bottles of different types of liquor worth Rs 70,931 were found in the restaurant. They were seized after a panchnama.

Inspectors Rajesh Naik and Jayesh Bandekar, Guard Nitin Parab, Satish Tilve, Siddhesh Harnkar and Vikas Keni of Pedan Excise Office took part in the raid.
