Colonel Amit Anand Parab, Sena Medal (SM), who has recently assumed charge as the Commanding Officer of 2 Kerala Battalion NCC, paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Kerala, at Lok Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram, today. He was accompanied by his wife, Rachana Amit Parab.
The meeting was particularly significant on a personal level for Col Parab. Having known Arlekar during his tenure as an MLA in Goa, Col Parab expressed happiness at meeting him once again in his distinguished role as the Governor of Kerala. He noted that Arlekar's journey from serving the people of Goa as a dedicated public representative to holding the esteemed constitutional office of Governor reflects his unwavering commitment to public service and nation-building.
As a fellow Goan serving in Kerala, Col Parab said that meeting a respected leader from his home state in "God's Own Country" made the occasion especially memorable. The interaction was warm and inspiring, rekindling fond memories of Goa while highlighting the strong bonds that unite different regions of the country.
Col Parab conveyed his sincere gratitude to Governor Arlekar for his gracious hospitality, valuable time, and encouraging interaction. The courtesy call also reaffirmed the shared commitment towards national integration, youth development through the National Cadet Corps (NCC), and dedicated service to the nation.
