The Salcete Taluka Enforcement Squad for COTPA on Wednesday undertook a drive at Rawanfond, near Power House & near Margao Railway Station today.
The Enforcement drive which was led by Sampada Phal Desai Salcete Joint Mamlatdar- I was assisted by Francisco Carvalho, Head Clerk, office of Mamlatdar Salcete, Lorna Fernandes & Silvester Niasso of GOACAN and PC Vishwajit Dessai & PC Briton Faria of Margao Town Police Station.
The squad carried out inspections of Grocery Shops, Kiosks, Wine Shops, Restaurants and a Hotel. A total of 10 challans were issued and an amount of Rs 4,200 was collected for violation of Section 4 and 6(a) of COTPA.
The Enforcement Squad will submit a report on the drive to the South Goa District Collector Egna Cleetus IAS at the next review meeting.
