The Colva police have registered an offence against Joseph Jesus Gabriel Pimenta, a resident of Sambatty-Orlim, for allegedly riding his motorcycle in a rash and negligent manner, endangering human life. The police registered the offence following a complaint made by Babiana Fernandes, a resident of Ghottnamoddi, Tilamol Quepem. According to her complaint, on April 14 at 13:15 hrs, Pimenta allegedly rode his motorcycle in a rash and negligent manner, endangering human life. While proceeding from Varca towards Orlim, he reached near Goan Bliss Resort, Dessonaik, Orlim, and dashed against an oncoming TVS Jupiter scooter. As a result, her son, Mavrus S. Fernandes, the rider of the TVS Jupiter scooter, fell on the road and sustained grievous injuries to his right foot. Pimenta also sustained injuries in the accident. The Colva police have registered an offence under sections 281, 125 (b) of the BNS.
