A farmer Narinder Chatin from Salvador do Mundo has filed a complaint with Porvorim police alleging that the panch member of ward 9 of Salvador do Mundo Agnel Fernandes is harassing and torturing him mentally and threatening to kill him and his power tiller operator Ramu Naik.
Chatim said he had initially filed a complaint on June 18, 2021, but the police never took any action. Agnel is not allowing me to carry out my farming activities without which it would be difficult for me to feed my family. He is threatening to kill me and my power tiller operator if we start work, he said.
“I am a heart patient and I have been repeatedly begging the Porvorim police to take action against Agnel. However, the police have not acted,” the complainant said.
