Mounting pressure on the government on the Mhadei issue, the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee on Monday launched a digital campaign to create awareness on Mhadei Jagor, an agitation launched by the party to protest against the nod granted by the Union Ministry of Environment and Forest to the Kalasa-Bhandura project of Karnataka.
Congress spokesperson Urfan Mulla said that the digital campaign would see awareness posters being released on digital media every day in all twelve talukas.
The campaign will also be vociferous against BJP ministers and MLAs who are silent on the issue. The posters will also highlight the mass corruption and irregularities by ministers and MLAs, Mulla said.
The Congress has appealed to the people of Goa to show anger and come out in support of the protests as diversion of water will lead to loss of Mhadei, he said.
The Congress has also demanded that Section 144 imposed in Goa be withdrawn immediately.
