Cong must clear its stand on Mhadei issue, asserts AAP

PANAJI
AAP has questioned the intentions of Congress on river Mhadei after the new Congress in-charge dodged the media on the issue raises serious doubts on whose side the party was.

AAP Convenor Rahul Mhambre said, “First Prakash Javdekar dodged the media on Mhadei and now Congress desk in-charge Dinesh Gundu Rao did the same. We would like to tell the people of Goa that the newly appointed Goa Congress in-charge was seen supporting Karnataka farmers over the Mhadei water issue in a news article.”

“It is apparent that both Congress and BJP are using Goa for their national-level politics and in the bargain Goa and Goans are suffering. Both Congress and BJP have sacrificed Goans for their larger ‘objectives’,” Mhambre chided.

“AAP has always stood for the cause of mother Mhadei. It has to be saved at all costs, we cannot allow the BJP and the Congress to play with

the emotions of Goans,” he added.

He went on to assert, “Now what has the Congress got to say? It’s a shame for the party which speaks about Mhadei day in day out to have a man like Gundu as in-charge who could not take a stand on the issue to protect the interests of Goans. Both Congress and BJP have no intentions to solve this issue. AAP is resolute in its stand that every issue will have the interest of Goa for Goans at the foremost.”
