With the parliamentary election in mind, Congress plans its ‘Jan Sampark Abhiyan’ in the State by enthusing its party workers to move door-to-door in exhorting people about the fiasco of the BJP-led government at the Centre and in all BJP-ruled states.
“In a door-to-door contact programme, our party workers are going to carry literature to each and every voter explaining the miss-governance of the BJP at the Central level and in states, where BJP is in power,” said K B Krishnamurthy, who is a Member of Parliament and AICC coordinator for Jan Sampark Abhiyan.
The AICC coordinator was addressing a news conference along with the North Goa District Congress, President Vijay Bhike and other party officials.
Continuing, Krishnamurthy said the Congress party will explain to people how BJP backstabbed India’s fight against corruption with series of scams like the Rafale scam, scam involving BJP national president Amit Shah’s son, Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh, scam involving Piyush Goyal and scams involving some industry houses which are close to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said demonitisation was the century’s biggest scam ostensibly to convert black money to white while GST was the most disastrous tax which derailed the economy of the country. “Talk, talk and talk is Mr Modi, the PM of this country. Not common man but only conmen have benefited in this suit boot ka sarkar,” Krishnamurthy hit out.
He said Modi government has betrayed jobless youth and also failed to ensure women’s security.
Speaking on local issues, the AICC coordinator said BJP’s miss-governance for seven years had ruined the State.
“Be it RP, formalin fish, casinos, PDAs, CRZ notification, unemployment and mismanagement in a host of other issues BJP has taken Goa backward,” he said.
He said Congress volunteers will move to every voter with the brochures explaining the failure of the Modi-led government in the State and the BJP-led governments in the States.
Through an interactive session with members of PCC, DCC and also block presidents, Krishnamurthy sought to guide them on implementation of the Jan Sampark Abhiyaan at the North Goa District office, Mapusa.
