Unveiling the slogan Ab ki baar, barbaad kar diye yaar! All India Congress Committee spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi on Thursday criticised the BJP-led NDA government on its completion of two years at the Centre.Addressing the media at Congress House, Chaturvedi stated that the two years were characterized by PM Narendra Modi s misgovernance and failure of his government to fulfill assurances on core issues.“Every Union Minister, including Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has failed and has been driven by a marketing team instead of delivery,” she charged.Commenting further on Parrikar s tenure so far, Chaturvedi said, “Recently, Parrikar has invited private players in defence sub-committees. This talks a lot about the level of his dedidation to the country s security. The army doesn t feel safe. So far, Parrikar has not been able to face the challenges of defence ministry.”She also warned the people of Goa against the Aam Aadmi Party, which has created ripples across the political fabric of the State this month. “While Delhi is being projected as a model State by AAP, I urge the people to review its delivery and the reality in Delhi.”Responding to queries about charges of corruption levelled against Congress in the past years, the AICC spokesperson stated, “When charges of corruption were made against a member of the UPA government, we reacted swiftly and ensured accountability. As against this, the present government s hypocrisy can be seen in its brazen reaction to charges of scams ranging from Vyapam, PDS to Khadse s links with Dawood Ibrahim.”She said that the recent electoral drubbing suffered by the Congress has to do with anti-incumbency while seeking to highlight that the Congress has improved its vote share since 2014.“Introspection and surgery, both are in order. Making local leadership self-sufficient and empowering them to take up activities is being encouraged. We aren t looking at a wave but at people-oriented inclusive development,” she stressed adding that unlike the BJP, Congress is driven by team-centric ideology.Congress has released a 10-minute audio-visual clip highlighting the failures of Modi Sarkar which will be made available on various social media platforms.
