Mormugao Congress MLA Sankalp Amonkar on Friday said the Congress party has been looking towards young and fresh faces to take the party forward in the State.
Speaking to reporters, Amonkar thanked Congress President Sonia Gandhi and all State and national leaders for having given him the opportunity and the responsibility of being the Deputy CLP leader.
"The Congress party has now been looking at fresh faces and young blood to take the party works forward. We have seen that many a times, the Goans felt that the Congress was a party which had old politicians as their leaders but times have changed now.”
“We have seen that a young and dynamic leader, Michael Lobo, has been appointed as the CLP Leader while another young leader Amit Patkar has been made the party president. I have been given the responsibility of the Deputy CLP leader. We have seen that Congress is now entrusting young blood and fresh faces not only in Goa but also across other States in the country.”
“I am sure that all of us young leaders will work responsibly for the benefit and well-being of Goa and Goans," said Amonkar.
