The Congress-Goa Forward Alliance wound up its campaign for the ensuing polls with a visit to Pimpalkatta to offer prayers to Lord Dambab, the city’s Presiding deity, even as Opposition leader Digambar Kamat made an impassioned plea to the people of Goa to elect the Alliance candidates to form a government that would listen to them and protect the environment.
Both Kamat and Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai descended at the Pimpalkatta on Saturday evening to offer prayers to Lord Dambab so that the people vote and elect an Alliance government
Saying the people of Goa are looking forward for a new government, to put an end to corruption, Kamat urged the people to vote decisively and give a clear mandate for Cong-Goa Forward alliance.
“The Cong-Goa Forward is an option for the people of Goa. The TMC has failed to make an impact while AAP is only creating a hype”, he said
Making a plea to the people to elect a government that would listen to the voice of the people, Kamat recalled how the Congress government headed by him had scrapped the controversial SEZ when the same was opposed by the people of Goa.
Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai told the media he and Digambar Kamat with supporters prayed to Lord Dambab to liberate Goa from the BJP virus, saying the BJP turned out more dangerous to even COVID. “People had died of COVID, but the BJP government has sold Goa and its rivers, Port, coastline etc. If the BJP returns to power, they will make Goa a coal hub”, he said, while exuding confidence that Dambab will bless the people and liberate Goa.’
Saying the ensuing polls is a second opinion poll to save Goa from destruction, Sardesai urged the people to take the election seriously and give a clear and comprehensive victory to the Cong-Goa forward alliance.
