'Congress has acted immaturely..': Shripad Naik slams opposition, affirms timely Lok Sabha elections

Shripad Naik said that the opposition have come together under the banner of INDIA only for the sake of power.

Slamming the opposition for disrupting the just ended parliament session, Union Minister of State for Tourism, Shripad Naik on Friday said that Lok Sabha elections will be held on time.

Naik also said that the opposition have come together under the banner of INDIA only for the sake of power.

"There are no early elections. Parliament polls will be held on time in April-May 2024. But the way the opposition has disrupted the Parliament session clearly shows they are using all platforms to come to power," Naik said.

He said some professionalism was expected from the principal opposition Congress but that wasn't to be.

"Even after being in power for 60 years, the Congress has acted immaturely, continuously disrupting the parliament. The Speaker had assured to hold discussion on Manipur but they insisted on PM to speak," he said, while addressing the media in Mapusa.

Naik said the Centre has been handling the Manipur issue very sensitively.

The Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the State thrice while another Minister of State stayed with the people for almost three weeks," he said.
