As part of the INDIA bloc alliance, the Congress has announced to contest both -North and South Goa Lok Sabha seats for the upcoming Parliamentary polls.
As such, AAP has declared withdrawal of its candidature from South Goa, where the party had announced the name of MLA Venzy Viegas.
Congress and AAP today announced seat-sharing in Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Chandigarh and Goa as part of the INDIA alliance.
"In Goa, it is decided that Congress will contest on both the Lok Sabha seats," Congress general secretary and MP Mukul Wasnik said in a joint press conference held in Delhi.
Congress has its sitting MP Francisco Sardinha in the South.
