Congress-GFP tie-up? Fatorda Cong confused

MARGAO
With reports of a Congress-Goa Forward party alliance doing the rounds on Sunday, local Congress leaders from Fatorda have been left confused about how they should go about the work in strengthening the party in the constituency.

Local Congress leader, Ethel Lobo, who has set her eyes on Fatorda in the 2022 election, said local party workers have been going about the work of strengthening the party in the constituency upon the instructions of the top leadership.

“We have no idea whether the Congress would tie-up with the Goa Forward in the ensuing polls. We have been told by the party leadership to go all out to strengthen the party in Fatorda ahead of the election,” she said when asked to comment on reports doing the rounds on a possible Congress-Goa Forward alliance.

She said the Fatorda block has been reconstituted and the workers are on the job to constitute the booth committees.
