MARGAO
A house at Telaulim-Navleim and an apartment at Davorlim village, both coming under the jurisdiction of Navelim and Curtorim Primary Health Centres, have been declared as micro containment zones by the South Goa District Collector, Ruchika Katyal, IAS on Sunday.
The action has been initiated under disaster management after the Curtorim Primary Health Officer reported that as many as 12 Covid cases were reported from the house and the apartment during the weekend.
The Collector issued the order under section 144 of the Cr PC after a report from the Deputy Collector, Margao, on Saturday calling for the declaration of the house at Telaulim and apartment as micro-containment zones.
The two places have been notified as micro containment zones to combat the situation at hand and to carry out screening of suspects, testing of suspected cases, quarantine, isolation and social distancing.
The Rapid Response Team headed by Deputy Collector, Margao, Jyoti Kumari, has been entrusted with the task of investigating the outbreak and initiate control measures after assessing the situation.
