Coop societies urged to help students

Independent MLA and the Minister for Art and Culture Govind Gaude on Thursday appealed to the cooperative societies to help the students in the areas of education, sports and art.

“I request you (cooperative societies) to help the students as social responsibility,” Gaude appealed.   
The management and staff members of Mahalsa Urban Cooperative Credit Society (MUCCS), Mardol, felicitated Gaude, as it celebrated its 15th anniversary. 
Satyanarayn Mahapuja was performed on the occasion of its anniversary. 
Veling-Priol-Cuncoliem Sarpanch Damodar Naik, MUCCS chairman Dr Madhu Ghodkirekar, vice-chairman Vasant Gawade, secretary Ashok Kavalekar and others were present.   
Speaking further, Gaude said he was committed towards development of the constituency and in the area of art-culture. 
“I request the cooperative sector to help the students in the field of education, sports and art.” 
“We should encourage them by giving them right platform,” he added.   
“Only unity can help to make progress. We should help the needy students and should show them the way where they can progress,” he said.   
Dr Madhu Ghodkirekar and others spoke on the occasion.
