Cops seek nod for lie detector test

PANAJI

Crime Branch of Goa Police is likely to move the court on Tuesday, seeking permission to conduct a lie-detector test on the two young boys, who accompanied Fr Bismarque on the evening and night of his death on November 5.

The boys are aged 19 and 17 respectively. As one of them is a minor, crime branch will approach the JMFC, Panaji as well as the Children’s Court for seeking the required permissions to conduct the lie-detector test.

A lie-detector test employs instruments that record the changes in physiological processes in body such as heart beats, pulse rate, blood pressure, respiration and electrical resistance to gauge if a person is lying.
