A Mapusa court issued non- non-bailable warrant against Aam Aadmi Party leader Pratima Coutinho and Aishwarya Salgaonkar for failing to attend a court hearing on the Para-teachers agitation case.
The case has now been adjourned to August 4.
One of the accused Savitri Kavlekar along with her counsel P Sutar attended the hearing on Tuesday while advocate Lopes filed exemption on behalf of other accused.
The State was represented by Assistant Public Prosecutor S Chodankar.
The Para-teachers along with members of Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee had organised an agitation demanding regularization of their service at the Secretariat at Porvorim.
Pratima Countinho was then the Congress mahila chief.
The Porvorim police had registered offences against all the accused including Pratima Coutinho, Aishwarya Salgaonkar, Savitri Kavlekar, Reshma Dessai etc. A charge sheet was then filed against the accused.
