MAPUSA
Transport Minister, Mauvin Godinho said the road safety committee has taken a decision on road signages and new sign boards will come up in the entire State very soon.
“The road safety committee has fast tracked the signboard installations in the State and awarded the contract to two entities. New signboards will soon come up in the entire Goa,” said Godinho, who is also the Chairman of State Road Safety Committee.
He said development was taking place at a fast pace and new roads and highways were coming up every now and then.
“We install signboards but with new roads coming up we have to soon change the signages. We have already taken a meeting and very soon we will install new signboards in an orderly manner,” he said.
The Transport Minister also admitted that Mapusa RTO office required bigger space as it covers a large area.
“We are increasing digital footprint so that there is less need for people to come to offices,” he said.
