PANAJI: The ball is set rolling on the Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana, the ambitious scheme aimed at providing a health cover to the entire resident population of the State of Goa.
The Directorate of Health Services on Monday uploaded the revised tender document for the much-awaited scheme. The government has invited competitive quotations from insurance companies dealing with health insurance and licensed or registered with Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority. Companies are expected to upload their request for proposal (RFP) document containing technical bid and financial bid on www.etender.goa.gov.in on or before December 30, 2015 up to 2.30 pm.
The last date for submission of queries, however, is December 7.
The technical bids will be opened at the conference hall of DHS on January 5, 2016 around 3.30 pm. Whereas, the financial bids are set to be opened on January 12, 2016 at 3 pm.
The cost of tender document is Rs 15,000 and the cost of tender processing fee is Rs 1,500. The tender document can be downloaded from www.tenderwizard.com, www.dhs.gov.in and www.etender.goa.gov.in
The umbrella scheme will offer health cover to all the residents based in Goa for five years or more. The insurance cover will be up to Rs 2.5 lakhs per annum for a family of three or less members and up to Rs 4 lakh per annum for a family of four and more members. The scheme can be availed by the family collectively or by its members individually.
The package rates of the procedures covered will be fixed till March 31, 2020 setting the period of insurance till this date. Enrolment camps to register insurance card-holders in the State will be carried out after the initial technicalities of the scheme are straightened out.
For an effective implementation of the scheme, a partnership is envisaged between insurance company and empanelled public or private hospitals and the government. Treatment protocols and costs will be fixed ensuring that the cost of administering the scheme is kept at the lowest.
