After maintaining the death toll at 39 for three consecutive days, Goa witnessed a lower count on Friday, with 32 patients succumbing to Covid in the past 24 hours. Of these 32, GMC recorded 18 deaths, while 10 were seen at South Goa District Hospital, one at a private hospital in Mapusa and three at two private hospitals in Margao. Of the total deceased, nine were below the age of 50.
Goa’s covid positivity rate has further reduced to 21.68 % with the detection of 1055 new covid cases from the 4,865 samples tested. With 1,396 recoveries the active covid count of the State has reached 15,326. In addition, at 123 the number of hospital admissions have been less than number of discharges which stood at 154.
