Cowshed destroyed in fire
BICHOLIM: A cow shed caught fire at Maulingem-Bicholim late on Monday evening.
According to Bicholim fire brigade authorities, the cow shed belonging to Rohita Gaonkar from Maulingem-Bicholim caught fire late Monday evening and the cause of fire was not known.
The shed owner and neighbours alerted the Bicholim fire office. The fire fighters rushed to the spot and managed to save four cows which were tied in the cow shed, while the entire shed was destroyed in the fire.
Bicholim sub-officer Chandrakant Mangaonkar along with HC Bharat Gawas, firemen Swapnesh Kalangutkar, Sanjay Fadte, Sunil Rane and Dattaraj Chari took part in the fire fighting operations under the guidance of fire official Laxman Majik.
