Six pistols, 26 bullets seized from the duo

Crime Branch nabs two contract killers at AnjunaCrime Branch on Friday arrested two contract killers, Sushil alias Vijay (resident of Haryana), and Ashok Sutar (resident of Delhi), who had accepted a contract to kill Calangute based hotelier Gajendra Singh alias Chotu. The police seized six pistols from the duo. During the interrogation, the accused revealed that businessmen Ravikant and Vipin, to whom Chotu owes a sum of Rs 26 lakh, had given them the contact as the latter was reluctant to pay the amount.

According to information, Gajendra Singh noticed that he was being watched by some individuals and informed the police, after which, crime branch nabbed Sushil from a restaurant where the latter was working. Sushil was living under a false identity and carried a fake Aadhar card. A country-made pistol and bullets were seized from Sushil, and based on information given by him, the police then arrested Ashok Sutar who was working in a restaurant in Calangute.

The duo had become active after Ravikant and Bipin gave the hitting contract to a person from Delhi. They had been watching Gajenda Singh since three days and had also carried out reconnaissance of the restaurant and surrounding area. Three more accomplice involved in the case are absconding, and are being searched for by the police.
