CANACONA
Art and Culture Minister Ramesh Tawadkar on Saturday criticised his detractors for failing to acknowledge the development works carried out in Canacona constituency under the Canacona Vision and Mission-2030 plan.
“We have brought in development worth Rs 220 crore, including underground electricity cabling, transformers and related works across Loliem-Polem, Agonda and Canacona municipality,” said Tawadkar.
He said 100% of underground cabling works in Loliem had been completed at a cost of Rs 37 crore. He added that several projects related to water supply, road infrastructure, power supply and other sectors had also been completed.
“However, there are people in Loliem who refuse to see these developments and continue posting videos claiming that there is no development in Loliem-Polem,” he said.
Tawadkar listed several other works carried out in Loliem-Polem village across various sectors and said there were currently no major projects pending in the village.
“Those who are blind to these developments should remove their blindfolds and look at the works that are still required in Loliem-Polem. They should bring these issues to my notice, and I promise to take them up within the next six months,” he added.
