Curchorem troupe tops Asturi contest
CURCHOREM: Jai Malhar Group of Curchorem emerged victorious in the Asturi Pratibha Darshan event, which was organised at Ravindra Bhavan, Curchorem.
In all, 86 groups with about 700 women participated in competitions organised at Asturi Pratibha event.
Many women took active part in five competitions during the two-day event.
The Sunshine Group Morayle won the second place and the third prize was a tie between Shriram Cooperative Society Group, Pontemol, and Dattakrupa Self-Help Group, Curchorem.
Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council vice-chairperson Pragnya Naik, Councillors Sujata Naik, Felix Fernandes, Ravindra Bhavan vice-chairman Rajoo Naik, member secretary Agnelo Fernandes and others were present at the prize distribution function.
