One electrocuted at Bicholim

BICHOLIM: A 42-year-old official of a company at Harvalem-Bicholim was electrocuted while he was plucking coconuts in the factory premises.

According to Bicholim Police, the incident occurred on Sunday evening when the deceased, Krishna Malik, was plucking coconuts with the help of an iron rod, which accidentally came in contact with high tension overhead cables.

Bicholim Police conducted the panchanama and the body after conducting an autopsy at GMC Hospital at Bambolim was handed over to his relatives to conduct final rites on Monday.

Police is investigating the case under the guidance of PI Narayan Chimulkar.
