Four held for assault at Mapusa
MAPUSA: Mapusa Police arrested four persons on charges of assaulting hotel staff and damaging the hotel property at Khorlim-Mapusa.
Accordign to Mapusa Police, Ashish T Shirodkar from Ganeshpuri-Mapusa, owner of a hotel at Khorlim-Mapusa, complained that accused Gaurav Bicholkar, Rupesh and three others formed unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into his hotel on March 20, at about 2 am.
The complainant further stated that the accused assaulted his staff, threatened them with dire consequences and wrongfully restrained them and damaged hotel property, causing him losses.
Police said the accused, Gaurav Bicholkar (Aldonwadi-Mayem, Bicholim), Rupesh Gadekar (Khorlim), Suraj Patil (Kailasnagar-Assonora) and Shantaram Harmalkar (Teen Maad, Sodiem-Siolim), have been arrested in this connection. Police is investigating the case.
