The state experienced yet another spike in the number of new Covid cases with 140 new cases being detected on Wednesday.
With 140 cases testing positive from a total of 1,773 samples, the daily positivity rate stood at 7.8 per cent.
The total confirmed cases now stand at 56,841 of whom 54,931 have recovered while 1,156 are presently active.
Urban Health Centre Panaji continues to monitor the highest number of active cases with 147 cases presently under its jurisdiction while UHC Margao has 112 active cases under it. A total of 108 active cases are under Primary Health Centre Ponda.
