Dharwad police with the assistance of Bicholim police on Sunday arrested one person from Dharwad-Karnataka on charges of kidnapping a minor girl from Dharwad and hiding her at a house in Gokulwadi-Sanquelim.
According to Bicholim police, the accused, Kishan Kattimani, had kidnapped the girl a few days ago. A complaint was later lodged by the girl’s father at Dharwad.
During the investigation, it was found that the accused was staying at Gokulwadi along with the girl. Dharwad police swung into action and with the help of Bicholim police arrested Kattimani.
The girl was later rescued and handed over to her father. PSI Damodar Shirodkar and ASI Atmaran Gawas assisted Dharwad police in detaining the accused.
